DuMont began as an idea to open a restaurant offering great food and friendly competent service- without the pretense. Now in its seventh year, DuMont still strives to hold true to this original idea.

 

 
 

Executive Chef Polo Dobkin oversees DuMont's kitchen, serving lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Specializing in market fresh, New American cuisine, varying seasonal menu items complement  the classic DuMont dishes that have patrons returning time and time again.

Favorites such as the DuMont Burger and a lardon-studded DuMac and Cheese, Roast Organic Chicken with mashed potatoes and pan jus, and a grilled New York Strip comprise just some of the staples of DuMont's menu. A seasonal list of specialty cocktails and a comprehensive list of fine wines are also offered to enhance your experience.
 

DuMont's name comes from a sign found on the now defunct offices of America's fourth television network, founded by the inventor Dr. Allen B. DuMont, whose offices were only blocks away.

DuMont's cozy layout, ancient tiled floors, and weathered tin ceilings and walls make for a unique dining experience. In addition to its indoor dining room and two full bars, DuMont also has a large outdoor garden with retractable awnings and patio heaters for comfortable dining in any weather.
